O' Cherie...

Say that you will stay
for one more dance...

My heart calls out to you
as the wind calls to the wild

The course my steps may set
can not complete
this dance.

My shadow does not know the
path to lead me to...
for without you by my side
the sun will never shine
to cast my shadow to the ground.

Do you hear my plea ?
When I dance with you, I sense your beating heart is mine.

And now I only hear
the empty echo of
my heels …
clicking and clicking
upon the polished floor

they echo out as if to cry
-to beckon you-
for one more dance
to calm
this aching heart
and answer all Earth's questions
...in a single "Why?".

Cherie... do you hear my call to you?

I only danced one dance
and now I must dance two.

To you I may seem
a silly kitten in a window
Yet for me,
It would fulfill a lifetime of dreams...
one single dance with You.
